1. Selection principle of filter

The selection principles of filter are as follows:

Inlet and outlet diameter: the filter which is not less than the inlet diameter of the matching pump should be selected, and the diameter of the inlet pipeline should be consistent.

Nominal pressure: the pressure rating of the filter should be determined according to the pressure.

The choice of mesh number: the choice should be based on the particle size of impurities to be filtered, and the process of medium should also be considered.

2. Material of filter

The available materials are cast iron, carbon steel, low alloy steel or stainless steel, while the sealing materials can be PTFE, NBR or oil resistant asbestos glue.

3. Application of filter

The suitable materials for filtration are:

(1) Weakly corrosive materials in chemical and petrochemical production, such as water, ammonia, oil or hydrocarbon, etc;

(2) Corrosive materials produced in chemical industry, such as caustic soda, soda ash, concentrated and dilute sulfuric acid, carbonic acid, acetic acid and ester acid, etc;

(3) Low temperature materials in refrigeration, such as liquid methane, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen and various refrigerants;

(4) Materials with hygienic requirements in light industrial food and pharmaceutical production, such as beer, beverage or dairy products.

4. Installation of filter

The filter can be installed horizontally and vertically. Clean the connecting surface of the thread before installation. Sealing treatment shall be done during installation. If welding is required, the time shall not be too long and cooling shall be carried out after welding.

5. Cleaning of filter

After the filter is used for a period of time, it should be cleaned to remove the impurities and dirt on the filter screen, so as to ensure a good filtering effect. Clean regularly afterwards. If the filter is not equipped with drain plug, the filter limiter and filter screen should be removed for cleaning. After the filter cleaning, the original gasket can not be used, and a new gasket should be replaced.
